As part of a self initiated project, I chose to make a replica of a weapon that has history and a mystery surrounding it. One of my favorites swords - A katana.

I have always been fascinated with swords and have tried to replicate some of them. This was one of my attempt at making the finest sword design the world has ever seen in my own way.

Extensive research was done from my part to understand the history and the traditional methods of making the sword but due to constrains from my side with sourcing the raw materials I choose to make my design using wood.

I would like to thank one of my mentor John for giving me an actual katana which he had picked up from one of his travels to Japan as reference.

This was more of fun for me than anything else and I still cherish the sword and try to do some silly stuff with it when no one else is looking.
